To inspect the records of agricultural produce purchase and sale of the committee's licensed commission agents/buyer traders. To regularly inspect the electronic weighing scales used by the commission agents and verify whether the stamping is up-to-date.
This department is responsible for storing farmers' agricultural produce in the committee's warehouses under the agricultural produce pledge scheme and the warehousing scheme, maintaining records in the stock register and sales register, preparing loan applications, entering data into the ERP system, and preparing and submitting loan repayment proposals to the Marketing Board. It also maintains records of agricultural produce belonging to farmers and traders in the warehouses, calculates and collects the storage charges.
Calculating and collecting market fees and supervision fees based on transaction receipts received from buyer traders for the purchase and sale of agricultural produce, depositing the collected fees with the accounts department, collecting and depositing market fees on agricultural produce such as cotton and paddy at government-mandated rates, maintaining records of market fees and supervision fees, and submitting the requested records to the superior office regarding market fees and supervision fees.
